Clemens Tesch-Römer

Clemens Tesch-Römer is the director of the German Centre of Gerontology in Berlin (Deutsches Zentrum fuer Altersfragen, DZA) and an adjunct professor at the Free University of Berlin. Since 1998, he has also served as a member of the German Federal Government's Expert Committees on the life situation of the elderly in Germany. His current research interests include quality of life and well-being in old age, health, health behavior and health care, social relations and social integration of older persons, intergenerational family solidarity and societal solidarity, and comparative aging research. He holds a Ph.D. in psychology.
